I HEART SHIVA at The Baltic Room

DJs Manpreet, Peter, and Anup, and drummer Ravi Singh on dohl kick it up a
notch every 2nd and 4th Saturday for "Bollywood Night". Me and my colleagues
Amira and Lisa Yasmeen have collaborated to present gorgeous interactive
dance shows infused with flowers, candlelight, bubbles, and swords.

A live Arabic music and dance event on Sunday, Feb. 10 featured MB Orchestra
and moi, as well as a kaleidescope of gorgeous Guest Artist dancers performing

Where North Africa meets North Seattle. Moroccan and American specialties,
beer and wine, take-out catering, and private parties. The lovely food and
atmosphere are a natural extension of the owners. The menu includes burgers

pastry, and a sinful banana crepe nutella dessert. Beer and wine of course – and
all wines are available by the glass. In April '07, I was among performers
Thione Diop (West African percussions) and Alethea (folk singer/songwriter),
for a Darfur fundraiser. Today, the Northside Grill is the home of my monthly
World Dance Showcase.
